"That depends on what you consider artist," said Tallulah as she stood up off the rock. Embarrassed, she crushed the sand sketch with her boot. Not sure where to go, she waited for Will to begin walking, and followed him. They were going across the shoreline, apparently.

"Back home, in Sydney, I actually worked at my great-aunts apothecary business. You know, herbs, essential oils, and the natural healing products. I did charcoals and paintings in my spare time," said Tallulah. Suddenly aware of her rambling, she turned to Will. "So, Simone's an artist?"

"Its my dream mom!" Sarah screamed back at her mother "Im going to L.A whether you like it or not! Its my only chance to become an actress!"
"Actress,actress, actress! Thats all i ever hear from you! Why dont you be something more helpful to the world. A lawyer, or business woman!" Her mother retorted.
"Im not going to stay here in australia no matter how much you want it! Im going to follow what I want" Sarah slammed the door, running outside. I am going to leave on that flight tomorow. I dont know why mom cant accept that and move on she thought to herself. Ryan, her 2-year boyfriend, was going. After begging him about 100 times he finally agreed to come along, saying hed always wanted to explore America. He was only staying a few weeks but that was ok. If it wasnt for me he wouldnt get to come! Sarah thought[/i]

"That's pretty cool, I wish I had a fun job like that. Nah, all I do is work for an advertising company." Will paused, considered what path to venture on and choosed it, trudging up the sand and into and out of the edge of the jungle. "Yea, she's an artist, its more like her hobby since she's this crazy kid who wants to do nothing but end world hunger."

"Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. That must have been really hard." Simone said, suddenly a little depressed she asked the question that caused that answer. "Hey, where's my brother at?" She said, half asking the air, and half asking Corbyn.

Tyler shrugged, not really wanting to talk any more about his parents death. He still did not beleive that they were dead, he hoped this was all a dream.

Corbyn looked at Simone and shrugged. "Off to hunt down a cat with his new girl friend" He remarked rolling his eyes, still a bit ticked off that he could not go with the two older kids.

Simone laughed, "Will and Tallulah, sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g. So, he's off with Tallulah, great. Party for me." Simone decided. "No more big brother. My birthday wish finally came true."

"Advertising, huh?" Tallulah asked. "Have you done any commercials I might be familiar with?"

Will started saying something, but Tallulah quickly shushed him. She pointed at a rock farther ahead on the shore. "I swear I saw something move behind there," she panted as she ran to the large boulder. As she approached, a brown gull cawed and flapped into the air. Feeling stupid, she smacked herself.

"What were you saying?" she asked, embarrassed.

Corbyn grinned at her comment. At least she has a sence of humor, unlike his older friends from Australia he thought. "If only I could say the same" He remarked sarcasticly, grinning at his big brother. Tyler bopped him on the head frieldnly and gave hima quite glarr.

"Ah, nothing, we are more with print ads, doing campaigns for higher priced clothing companys like Versaci and Prada, that's probably why Simone was so eager to sign on." Will said, laughing. It was true, that's what his company did and that's how he got into his other job with some very interesting clients.

"You think your so slick, huh Corbyn?" Simone said and giggled.

"Versaci and Prada," said Tallulah. "I wish I had gotten a real job like that. Other than art." She kicked a shell.

"There's this great program there," said Tallulah. "It's at a place called Otis College of Art and Design. They've got painting, sculpture, 3D design- everything!"

"Why do you want to throw away everything we've worked so hard for?" Ian asked.

"We're not throwing away! We're gaining! We can find a cheap apartment, I can get private loans, out-of-state loans, maybe even a scholarship!"

"We'd be moving to the other side of the freaking globe," said Ian. "L.A.? What do you expect to find there?"

"A life, maybe? Trust me, Ian, I've been here for 22 years, and I've found nothing so far."

"You found me!"

"You know what I mean. I can't take much more of working at Aunt Zelma's shop. It's crappy pay, and half of what I earn goes to paying for this stupid apartment! I come home reeking of eucalpytus, Roscoe meows because you didn't feed him, and I need a change."

"A change, huh? You mean a change from me?"

"No! If that was true I wouldn't be spending a buttload of my time trying to convince you to come with me! Please come, Ian. Please. Please."

There was an eerie pause. "have you looked at that school in Rozelle?" he said.

Tallulah licked her lips. "Fine then. I'm going to America. Without you."

Corbyn flashed his teeth. "Well, if I said no, then I'd be lyin'" He remarked, grinning from ear to ear. At the moment he felt like the most smartest kid on the whole damn beach. He was spitting out comments, so smart and so fast he felt like he would be unable to stop. He had never been able to do that before. Tyler rolled his eyes at his brothers confidence and layed back in the sand yawning.

"Yep." Will said, smiling, "Gave her a chance to brush shoulders with the likes of Kate Moss and stuff. But anyway, lets get back to the cat, I mean Roscoe." Will was never a animal fan, he just didn't get the whole your-pet-owns-you thing.

Simone laughed, and then stated "You two are so completey different, I'd almost say you two weren't brothers."

Tallulah's thoughts turned back to Roscoe. "I really don't think he escaped," she said. "The tent wasn't scratched. There were no holes anywhere. Someone had to have taken him out."

Will didn't reply. Feeling the need to fill the silence, she said, "Maybe someone was looking for me, and unzipped the tent, and he ran out." She sighed. "Wherever he is, it is going to take forever to find him. This is ridiculous." She took out her water bottle and drank a swig.
